The Local Cafe

During our visit to sikkim we found out this place which offers wide variety of cakes and coffees. We tried there cheese cake and It was just awesome and I recommend you to try cheese cake of this place. They offer different variety of foods too. They have a outdoor seating too where you can enjoy the view of the streets and people walking. The staffs were very humble and well-mannered. Being in the prime location the place a lil expensive but worth a experience. This place is just well decorated so u can have some Instagram pictures with your food too. The Local Café – Cozy, Warm, and Worth a Visit!I recently visited The Local Café on MG Road, Gangtok, and had a wonderful experience. The café has a warm and inviting ambiance, making it a perfect spot to relax amidst the lively street.I tried their Cappuccino, Lemon Ginger Tea, and Green Tea, and each drink was excellent. The cappuccino was rich and smooth, while the Lemon Ginger Tea had a refreshing zing—perfect for a cozy break. The Green Tea was light and soothing. I also appreciated that they served hot water in a glass, which was a thoughtful touch, especially in the chilly weather.For snacks, I had a Butter Croissant and Potato Wedges. The croissant was flaky, buttery, and fresh, while the potato wedges were crispy on the outside and soft inside, served with a delicious dip. A perfect combination!The staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was quick yet relaxed. The overall atmosphere, with its cozy seating and warm lighting, made it a great place to enjoy a quiet moment.If you're in Gangtok, make sure to stop by The Local Café on MG Road. Good food, cozy setup.Best place for a solo or group breakfast and lunch

The food was perfect. We tried laphing, noodles and Tibeten calzone apart from a fresh lime soda and virgin mojito. Every dish was on point . The vibe was perfect and the live cooking really enhanced the experience. The staff was very friendly. However, there are only 3 tables available so one might have to wait but I feels that the cafe is worth the wait. That’s one downside for experiencing the wonderful and perfect atmosphere offered. Ohh and lastly , it’s extremely affordable in terms of the quality that they offer.

Must visit in MG Marg, their food & coffee are worth to taste. Ambience is cozy.

Each every item we ordered was soo good and delicious. The hot chocolate was to die for. Cheesecake literally melted in mouth. Only con is they have less seating arrangements and product sell out fast .

Cozy, comfortable little cafe with the best food we could find in our trip to Sikkim. Had to go back for moreDelicious coffee and hot chocolate, bang bang noodles and pizza. The highlight for us was the Himalayan calzone, and the cute cat walking around like it owns the place.
